Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier Recommendations
I would like to hear from those who own a rooftop rod carrier. I’m thinking about buying one that holds 3 or 4 rods. What’s your take on the brand and model you have and the pros and cons of it. Appreciate any advice you want to share. Thanks!

Jig and Balanced Flies - Washington Fly Fishing Forum
Been seeing several videos on tying jig and balanced flies for mainly leeches, buggers , etc. I was wondering if they are that much better than similar patterns on the standard hook? I mainly fish west side lakes for trout and sometimes bass. Thanks Dr Bob :)

The more I know about why a fly was designed a certain way, the more confident I am in modifying colors, materials, etc. So here are my stupid questions: Why are the hackle feathers for the tail tied in facing up instead of to the side?

Scott E2 Rods - Washington Fly Fishing Forum
A local fly shop had it's one year anniversary today and had several vendors there as part of the celebration. I spent about two hours with one of Scott's Pro Staff demo'ing rods and swapping fish tales. I was really impressed with Scott's new E2 series. After quite a bit of casting, I...

Water Master Kodiak Review | Washington Fly Fishing Forum
At the end of the day any boat is a compromise. That being said, I just got a new Kodiak with the Fly Fishing Show discount to replace my 20+ year old Water Master with the updated Kodiak design. I love the design evolution - especially the pointed stern and bow which I think makes the boat row 25-35% more efficiently.
